Outlook missing "More Settings" button

P

Perch_44

I have a user that has admin rights on the laptop. it is windows xp, and
Outlook 2003.

when you go Tools - Email Accounts, select the account, click the "change"
button...

there should be a "more settings" button. that button does not exist on her
pc. and she has local admin rights on the pc.

i've reinstalled office, i've done the button restore option, I also logged
in as myself on the pc and loaded up outlook - still no button. i'm hoping i
don't have to reimage this PC.

Any ideas?

What type of account? Have you tried a new mail profile? Uninstalling and
reinstalling is not likely to fix this type of problem.

I have the same issue with the 'more settings' button missing. my users are
on a TS and should have no different settings than others.

can you offer a suggestion. (office 2003, ex2007)

You should anser the same question: what type of account?

perhaps you should be more specific as i'm not sure how many different types
of email accounts you can have with an exchange server.. for what i can
tell there is only 1 way to setup a user email account in outlook when
manageed on an exchange server.

"Exchange" is the answer, then. I overlooked your inclusion of "ex2007".
Sorry. Are you the Exchange admin? If not, perhaps that has been disabled
with a policy.

I am the admin. my users are on TS and this one user is the only one that
does not have the 'more settings' button. i can open his mail via my TS
session and the button is available. there must be something within this one
users profile, a reg settings or something like that.

thoughts?

Perhaps the folks in microsoft.public.exchange.admins would know. I
apologize, but I don't.
