outlook needs to run scanpst for outlook. pst, but no avail.

errors are detected in outlook.pst and requests that I run scanpst. However
when I try to run scanpst, can't locate outlook.pst (even with search of all
folders). could this file have been deleted? if so, how to I create one so I
may fix this. Outlook is not able to delete any emails...

When searching for pst-files, make sure you set your search to also include
hidden files and folders.

The default location for pst-files is;

Windows Vista and Windows 7
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Outlook 2010 places it in your (My) Documents\Outlook Files folder
