Outlook no longer sorts by category

I have been trying to modify Outlook. I sort my contacts
by category. I can expand or contract each category
normally, but now, even though the Current View shows the
button highlighted beside "By Category", the list does
not sort by category anymore. I don't know what I did to
cause this, but can you help me fix it?

Sounds like you need to turn the grouping back on -- View | Current View |
Customize Current View | Grouping
