Outlook "Not Available" After Office Professional 2007 Beta Refres

After I downloaded and installed the Office Professional beta refresh,
Outlook 2007 disappeared from my Start Menu. When I attempted to reinstall or
repair the application, Outlook is reported "Not Available" in the
configuration panel. All I can think might have happened is that I
inadvertantly deleted outlook when I configured the installation.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Hi John, saw exactly the same problem but have still not resolved it. I have
removed Offce 2007 completely but now unable to reinstall. I get a message
"Microsoft OPP 2007 encountered an error during setup. Error 2711. An
internal error has occurred. (GraphicsFiltersCDRFilesIntl_1033. I have seen
other threads referring to this message but none seem to shed any light on
why Outlook disappeared or why I now can't reinstall at all. If you find a
solution let me know.

Hi Ray: I ended up uninstalling Office 2007 Beta 2, and then downloading and
intsalling Beta 2 again. It works fine now, but I have not tried to install
the Technical Refresh, as much as I'd like to. Since I am engaging in risky
behavior in the first place by using the Beta as my production email and
time management system, I think I'll wait for RC1 before attempting another
upgrade.

Best, John

There will be no RC1. B2TR is the last available version before RTM. http://pschmid.net/blog/2006/10/09/60
