Outlook not closing correctly

I have a new Dell PC with Windows XP and Office XP
Professional. Almost everytime I close Outlook, it seems
to shut down without errors - however the Outlook.exe task
remains. When I go to shut down the system, I have to end
the Outlook task. If I started Outlook several times, I
might have several Outlook.exe tasks running even though I
normally exited Outlook.

Any suggestions as to why this is occuring or how to fix
it?

I had the same issue while I was running Norton
Antivirus. Also, you could try a reinstall of your
Office program.. Either way it is caused by another
application of some sort. Hope this helps.. Jim
