Outlook Not Opening

I want to send pictures directly from My Pictures. I highlight the
particular file,select email this file from the Files and Folder Tasks. The
window opens and I select the appropriate size and when I click OK nothing
happens. Same effect when I try to email a documentfrom My Documents. Files
attach fine when Outlook is open.

Start Internet Explorer and click Tools>Internet Options. Select the
Programs tab. What do you see for "E-mail"?

Solved my own problem.... after comparing 2 computers one with which I could
email from files and folders task it finally dawned on me that the only
difference was that AOL was once used on the non working computer. After
deleting all references to AOL in the registry, everything is working.
