hello all
I am a semi tec guy that knows a little about outlook.
what i have is two (2) machines on a local network that share the same
email account both useing outlook express with a copy sent to a
blackberry pda/phone. All machines are set to leave mail on server for
four (4) days before cleaning off server, both machines run certifide
versions of XP pro with ALL the updates.
we started to notice that one machine would get a msg and the other not.
then we found out that the blackberry is getting ALL the emails that go
to that account but it seems random as to which computor get emails.
installed thunderbird along side outlook on one machine to see if it
would pick up where the others left off.
that seemed to work but now we have noticed that even thunderbird is
missing msgs. once again at random.
sometimes they all get a msg sometimes only one.
Have reset the server settings for outlook that seemed ! to work for a
week but then back to normal.
These machines average 2 to 3 emails per hour and have about 2000 emails
in subfolders. prob is ALL email need to be accsesable at any time so
can't remove them.
This is starting to drive me wild plus not to mention customers
complaining that work not getting done due to lost emails.
