outlook not responding

outlook not responding. If you are using an exchange server email account you
can cancel pending server request by clicking the outlook icon in the
notification area, then clicking cancel server request on the shortcut menu.


i have reloaded outlook with no change. Where is the notification area and
the shortcut menu? I close and restart my compter and then it starts in safe
mode
