Outlook not responding

J

John Gavin

Whem I start Outlook, I get the following response.
"Outlook is not responding. If you are using an exchange server account,
you can cancel pending server request by the Outlook Icon in the notification
area, and then clicking Cancel Server Request on the short cut bar."

What in the world does that mean? However, on Windows startup I can open
Outlook in Safe Mode after that nothing.

Thanks,
John Gavin

it means it won't finish loading - the error message gives a possible reason
to about half of outlook users.

Which version of Outlook? If 2003, try the safe:x switches to help identify
the problem (http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/commandlines.htm#safe)- in
older versions, find and rename outcmd.dat.

Diane,
Thanks for trying, but it didn't help. Any other ideas? I can be reached
at <[email protected]> if necessary.
