Hi Everyone
I've a problem I've not come across before and can't find a solution that I
was asked to look at.
Client has the following configuration:
XP-home fully patched and service packed
Outlook 2002 fully patched and service packed
ISP is AOL with AOL 9 installed through a broadband modem
Outlook configured to use IMAP to AOL
Oh, it's a brand new install of all software following a system crash.
Here is the problem, pictures can be sent by creating a new email from
Outlook then dragging and dropping the pictures into the new Outlook message
window.
What doesn't work is when selecting pictures from either Picasa or My
Pictures and using the 'Email' buttons. A new message window appears with the
pictures included as attachments and the usual messages generated by Picasa
or the Microsoft 'pick and place', but then you can't send the email. It's
almost as if Outlook thinks there is a modal dialogue box needing to be
answered first, but there isn't. When pressing 'send' all it does is to make
the 'critical stop' sound.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks a lot
Martin
