Outlook not shutdown properly

Hi, when I shutdown or restart my WindowsXp system, a
message box appears that reads "Microsoft Outlook -
please close all Microsoft Office applications before
shutting down the system". Apparently something in
Outlook (part of OfficeXp) is not allowing Outlook to
shutdown properly and I would appreciate help as to what
I can do / should do to stop this?
Thank you

Look in the COM Add-Ins and Add-In Manager lists in Tools, Options,
Other tab, Advanced Options and disable all addins. See if the problem
goes away. If it does start checking the addins one by one until
Outlook stops closing again. That's the problem addin.

Another thing that can cause Outlook to remain running is synch
software for a PDA.
