Outlook not "unloading" when done

I have noticed in the past month or so that Outlook is not unloading when I
leave the program. The visual part of the program is done and gone. The part
that retrieves the emails from my email server continues to run in the
backround.
This is really not a big problem, I can live with it, but why is it doing
this?? Why is it not totally unloading when I close the program?

How can I fix this?

I presume you are working on Outlook 2003.

Do you have an exchange account configured in your Outlook? Do you have any
Fax program installed?

I am using Outlook 2000.

No exhange account configured just my normal email account.

The only "Fax Program" that is installed is the "Fax" printer. It is not an
actual program like Winfax or anything like that.
