outlook not working sence XP installed

I don't seem to be able to fix outlook sence I installed
Windowes XP. Everything I have tried, it ask for a feature
on a CD-ROM (Microsoft Office 2000 Professional), and when
I stick it in the CD player it tells me it is not a valid
installations package and ask for file data1.msi.

Can I be helped? Just a novest.
