Outlook Notes not sorting correctly

A short time ago I lost the ability to sort my notes in Outlook 2003 by
color. All I can sort them by is subject (actually the top line of the note).

I've tried every way and option I could think of or find and am stumped.

How do I get back the ability to sort by color?

Right click in empty place-> Sort...-> choose Color from drop down list.

I'm well aware of how to sort the Notes. As I said, I used to be able to sort
by color but they are now stuck sorting alphabetically.

I played with it a little more and found that several notes had some sort of
corruption in them even though the data was fine.

So I simply created a new note for each corrupted one, pasting the text from
old to new, and deleted the old corrupted one. I can now sort them by color
or however I wish.

Well, you didn't tell which method you were currently using and which method
was failing. Without that info, it's hard to offer an alternative.

Anyway, good that you have it solved and thanks for posting back your
solution.
