Hi,
I use outlook daily for emails, contacts, calendars etc as well as merging
contact information into word documents but in my line of work as a Clerical
Administrator I often need to set up meetings but not actually attend them.
Outlook 2007 has gone some of the way to making my work a lot easier, but
still further work could be done.
My wish list would be able to:
I realise that Outlook and Office cannot be all things to all men, but with
a few tweaks I think it could benefit even more people than it does
currently, and seeing as a significant proportion of your users will be
responsible for keeping track of meetings and email trails I think that some
changes like these will really enhance your product.

My wish list would be able to:
rename User Field 1,2,3 and 4 and other Contacts fields.
specify whether fields in contacts are unique or not (I wish to use a unique code to identify everyone in my contacts list for use in meeting minutes etc). Outlook does provide an INITIALS field, but duplicates are allowed and I don't wish to have the period between letters: S.S. I realise this would be more difficult for your software to resolve as it will have to rationalise the difference between Susan Smith and Steve Saundres, manually I would change these to SSm and SSa respectively.
add a reminder flag with a customizable pop up to remind what needs to be done (as opposed to a thin strip at the top of the email which is very easily missed)
assign multiple tasks associated with an email or calendar item (organise catering, parking passes, send agenda etc) as opposed to using the separate Tasks function
define who is a TO and who is a CC/BCC in distribution lists
set up rules that work properly! I have one which if I email person A the email is supposed to go out immediately, but for all other recipients the email should be delayed by 5 minutes to allow me to pull it back if I realise I have made a mistake at the point of sending, however if Person A is included in a list of recipients the email still goes out immediately!
