Outlook opening errors

Hello.

A few months ago I was running Outlook 2000 without any problems. I
installed a plug-in from Incredimail.

After a coupla weeks, Outlook crashed.....never to return. It messed up
Windows XP Pro and I had to restore from
a previous date to get WinXP working.

I have been working off and on to try to get Outlook to work. Surfing the
internet I got several suggestions.
I installed MS Office XP and Outlook XP thinking it would over write my
problems but it doesn't.

I now have this problem:

When I click on the startmenu Icon or the task bar Icon, Outlook will start
with a "configure" screen and a
splash screen in the middle of the page.

After a long wait, I get an error (different ones bytheway). One is a panel
which tells me that I need to run
regsvr32.exe on Vbscript.dll. When I do that, either nothing happens except
a clearing of the screen or it starts
and then clears the screen.

I can run Outlook in /Safe mode and EVERYTHING works just like it did when I
had Outlook working fine.

What is causing Outlook to try to continue an install that I don't need?

How can I run Outlook from the Icon's without pulling up the 'configure'
screen and splash?

Any help would be DEEPLY appreciated. I love Outlook and would like to get
back to it from Outlook Express.

Thanks

Ken
