Outlook opens and closes immediately

I'm running Outlook 2003 on Windows 7 and as it opens it immediately closes
with "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working A problem caused the program to
stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a
solution is available."

I've tried a number of things. My PST file seems to be ok - no fixes when
running scanpst. I've uninstalled and re-installed Office. Can anyone help?

You're running an unpatched version of Outlook 2003. Install Service Pack 3
and additional updates via Windows Update.
