Outlook & Outlook Connector; not downloading Email.

Hello all,

I installed Outlook 2007 with the latest Service Pack.
Also installed is Outlook Connector (12.0.6423.1000).
I entered the credentials for my Hotmail e-mail address.
I see default folderrs under that Email account, presumably created by
Outlook itself: Deleted Items, Drafts, Inbox, Junk E-mail, outbox, Sent
Items, Search Folders.
The problem is that outlook/Outlook Connector does not download any
Email from the account. Nor do I see folders I created under that Email
account.
I get no error messages at all.

Can anyone tell me what's going on, and how to solve the problem?
Thanks!

OK, so now I did get an error message. A new folder has been created,
named "Sync Issues". It contains a message with the subject
"Synchronization log", which contains the following:

--------
The following issues occurred while synchronizing with the server:

Folder Collection Sync Key: 0{0b7c7e13-280e-4efb-b4ed-e46e69ccc119}1

Message Collection Sync Key: 0

An unknown error was encountered during a synchronization operation
with the service. Some of the items might not have been synchronized.
--------

Then follows a list of what I believe is every single message I have in
my Hotmail mailbox.

Anyone?

Mark,
I was having a similar issue. Here's what fixed it:

1) Shut down Outlook. Make sure it's all the way down before continuing by
bringing up the Task Manager and making sure OUTLOOK.EXE process in no longer
running.

2) From the Windows Run command ([WindowKey]+[R] under Vista) type 'office
/profiles'

3)Click 'New' to create a new Outlook profile. Give it a name (i.e. 'Outlook
Connector').

4) Select 'Add a new email account' and click next.

5) Select 'Additional Server Types' and click next.

6) Select 'Microsoft Office Outlook Connector' and click next.

7) Fill in your information for your account and click ok.

8) Back at the Choose Profile screen, click Options and click the 'Set as
default profile' box.

9) Click OK.

That should do it
