Outlook & Outlook Express Crash

When I attempt to apply changes to my accounts, specifically, trying to
require Out going server (SMTP) requires authentication, as soon as I hit
"OK" the programs will crash. This is happening to both Outlook Express 6 and
Outlook 2007.
