I have read and tried every suggestion for this problem, and my
problem is now only worse. I had been using Outlook XP (2002) for
email, calendar, contacts etc., and syncing with a pocket PC. It
stopped working for email (errors on all send / receive attempts), and
at the same time, Outlook Express would not load, due to the "cannot
load msoe.dll" error message. So I switched to Eudora for email, and
just used Outlook for non-email functions.
I decided to try to fix the problem, and attempted the uninstall and
registry cleaning method for OE. Alas, even when reinstalling IE 7,
now, even though Outlook Express is in my program files, it sill has
the "msoe.dll" error mesage, AND Outlook also refuses to load, saying
I must install Outlook Express (which I cannot do).
Any possible solution other than backing up all my data, wiping my
computer and reinstalling every program? I have years of (backed up,
thankfully) data in Outlook that I cannot afford to never have access
to.
