Outlook paonfully slow

G

Graham

Hi
I have just updated to Office 2007 from 2003. I ran an upgrade and did not
uninstall 2003. The only problem I have is that OUtlook runs very slow it is
taking up to 50% CPU usage the down to 5% then backup to 40+%. I assume that
this is why it is running slow. I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 with 1gb ram.

Any help greatly appreciateg.

Regards
Graham

Your system will require several hours (days) to complete building the
search index file. Then things should pick up again.

Hi

I have installed the update but it did not make much difference but I have
now created a new pst file in 2007 format and imported my details from the
old pst file and this has made a great difference.

Thanks for all you help

Graham

Never export to or import from a PST. You lose data that way.
