Outlook password and server off-line problems.

I have 2 problems on the same PC

I keep getting a password screen whenever I start MS Outlook 2003 on my XP
Pro computer. I have the checkbox selected to remember it, but it won't..

I also get a SERVER off-line error in the bottom of the Outlook window. I
applied patch 331320 and the MAIL wizard worked fine to setup Exchange for
it's first use..

Can someone point me in the right direction to resolve these 2 problems..
