Outlook passwords not saving using roaming profiles

I configure several users desktops in a small business. We all use roaming
profiles within a workgroup rather than domain environment, and therefore do
not have any windows servers etc.

This all works fine except for a small feature in Outlook. Users all have
POP3 email accounts with various different providers configured for
themselves, and the emails check fine and arrive in the mailbox fine.

If the "remember password" checkbox is ticked the password is remembered.
If the user logs off, and logs on again all is still ok. However if the user
uses a different computer and opens outlook the password request box
appears. If there are 2 accounts typing the passwords gets a bit annoying.
Then whether or not the user checks "remember password" after typing it,
when returning to the first computer the password has been forgotten there.

Is there anyway to stop this happening. We don't need the passwords
encrypted or highly secure just for them to be remembered and roam to each
computer. Could it be permissions within the registry. There are several
articles outlining procedures to rectify when passwords are not saving, but
they are, just they do not load on another computer with the roaming
profile, and then the saved password is deleted off the initial computer.

Any help appreciated. Sorry if this is a bit confusing. Please ask me if I
need to explain or clarify something better.
