Outlook paste

I use Outlook 2003. Recently, I have not been able to properly paste certain
pages. For example, I highlight and copy a portion of a webpage. I paste it
to a calendar appointment and I get only a small grey icon that is shaped
like a magnifying glass. I attempt to PASTE SPECIAL and get the same results
with .html and bitmap options. However, sometimes I get a "text" option and
it will paste (unformatted) for me.

Assuming the stuff you copied is still on the clipboard
(http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2005/20050315.htm), for security
reasons, some features no longer work as expected. Is the web page just
simple formatted text or does it use scripts and css formatting?

Diane,
Thanks for your reply. The webpage can be simple or complex. As a test, I
just copied your response and attempted to paste it to an Appointment. I
only got the little icon (looks like a grey magnifying glass). I then open
Word and successfully pasted it to a document.

Certain add-ons can cause Outlook to lose copy/paste functionality.
Start Outlook in Safe Mode (use the /SAVE program switch), and see if it
is still happening.
