Whatever I do, each time I reboot Outlook, the pop3 server resets from
mail.btinternet.com to 127.0.0.1 and the port settings from 110/25 to
3947/25. I have reloaded the C drive, removed and reinstalled Norton,
scanned everything in sight with NIS 2005 (thoroughly updated), SpySweeper
and ADAware, but nothing stops it happening. Until I correct it back, on
each occasion it only gives me multiple copies of the first one or two
messages on the server. My account works fine online, and from my non-XP
computer. I do have sp2 installed and have run Windows Update to make sure
my protection is current.
WHAT IS GOING ON PLEASE? If this is a virus or malware, one of the above
should have picked it up by now. but it keeps testing clean. HOwever, unless
I change it back, i can't get my mail!
HELP…..!
