outlook problems

Here is my problem,
One of the users on my network is having problems
opening Outlook 2000. He was running Windows 98 SE, and
Office 2000 Pro SR-1. In Windows 98 I uninstalled Office,
and attempted to reinstall Office. Everything else works
with Office 2000 except for Outlook. I have been putting
off upgrading this computer to Windows 2000, but I finally
upgraded it. I then uninstalled Office 2000 again, and
ran the eraser2k.exe program that is available on the
microsoft website. I then installed Office 2000 SR-1
again, and I am getting the same error, which is just that
Outlook crashes with no error message, there is no event
in any of the event logs. I then ran the repair utility on
the Office 2000 CD (which has worked for me in the past)
and still there is no change. Any help whatsoever would be
appreciated.

Make sure that Internet Explorer is up to date and that Outlook Express is
installed. Outlook 2000 needs Outlook Express to function properly.

Hope this helps!
