Outlook problems

I am encountering 2 problems:

1) When sending a mail outlook gives the following error. "Unable to
send a fatal error occurred in Outlook" what i do is copy the mail and
open a new message and type it there and then send it and it is sent.
Many other of my collegues at my workplace are also using the same
domain and outlook. They are not this problem. If anyone has any idea
kindly let me know.

2) When trying to take a backup of my mails. A window pops up saying
"an illegal operation occurred" and i am unable to take the backup.

I would really appreciate if anyone can please give me any solution.
