I have WinXP SP2, Office XP Pro SP3, Norton Internet Security 2004 (for
AntiSPAM). I am using Outlook with two profiles (to access two separate
internet email accounts via POP3 for two separate users). I don't want to
have separate WinXP userID's so I have created two separate outlook profiles
and have setup Outlook to prompt for the profile to load when Outlook is
loaded.
Now if I use the same Outlook profile twice (or more times) in a row
(profile1), there are no problems. However when I swap to open with
Profile2(after using Profile1) I get a "Microsoft Visual C++ Run Time Error
Program c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\outlook.exe abnormal
program termination OK" error message.
If I close outlook, and then open with Profile2 again, then it opens fine
and will work without error. However when I go back to use Profile1 again for
the first time I get the exact same error. But once again 2nd time I open
with Profile1, then all is OK.
I have deleted the profiles and recreated them, I have reinstalled the
entire Office suite, etc and all to no avail. I have turned off NIS antiSPAM
and still no go.
I have downloaded latest Office hotfixes - still no go.
Any ideas or help most appreciated.
