Outlook "Program not responding" issue

After opening Outlook (Office 2000) on Windows 98 SE, the program stops
responding. Upon attempting a restart of my computer, I receive the message
"Program not responding . . . " under the following header "WMS ST Motif
Window FFF44BDD FF3D4B9" (the numbers and letters vary in this header.

What is happening, and how do I fix it?

Hi,
please run scanpst.exe and be sure that your pst file is not larger than
1.8GB
