hi Diane,
1st, i'd like to apologize. this is my first experience with this type of
forum. when i posted my question, i checked something that was supposed to
notify me if a reply had been posted to me, but i never got that
notification. also, whenever i went back to the bookmarked page of the
query, i didn't seen any other postings. finally, just for grins, i tried to
refresh the query & found my note and your reply.
so, sorry for the delay in acknowledging your note.
2nd, i don't see any pushpin anywhere in my screen, either in the inbox
window, or with a message window open, or anywhere around the system tray,
etc. i tried querying "pushpin" and "push pin" in the help function, and got
no useful response. i also tried the customize feature in tools, and looked
for an icon that looked like a pushpin and couldn't find any.
is it possible the pushpin is a feature of a different version of Outlook?
i'm running Office 2003, as part of Office 2003 Standard Editon.
thanks,
tom

is the little pushpin pushed in? (lower right corner) If so, it will pop up
with every send and receive.

I have a problem with the progress window. It won't appear in
Outlook 2003 unless I do it manually. I've tried send/receive > settings
show progress (several times), but it doesn't change anything. I've poked
around in
Options and in Customize, but can't find anything that helps. I seem to
recall there was an update to Office 2003 shortly before the problem
showed
up. Any advice?
