Outlook & Project

Hi,

I am in the process of setting up MS Project. My plan is to have
employees use MS Outlook to help manage their tasks, etc; however, we do
not want Outlook on each employee's individual computer. We like the
idea of accessing Outlook on a remote server (which we also do not
have).

Is there a remote server that will house multiple Outlook accounts and
if so, can it be used in conjunction with MS Project via the Project Web
Access?

Thanks!

This sounds like you want a truck with two wheels missing and use it to push
a trailer just to collect milk from the local corner shop!! I think you had
better tell us what business requirements you have because what you are
proposing will have more expense for less functionality that having Outlook
locally. Much easier and cheaper just to use PWA for updating tasks.

Rod,

That's pretty darn funny. I FEEL like I'm pushing both the 2 wheele
truck & the cart with one hand and holding the milk in the other.

I think you have answered my question. I really just wanted to know i
Outlook could be set up on a remote server for multiple employees to us
without having it on each users desktop. And you've probably alread
figured out that I know about 1/2 of what I'm asking about.

OK -- so best, easiest & cheapest practice is to have each employee us
MS Outlook on their actual computers and update the tasks with the PWA.

Thanks for the answer and the laugh!

Anna
