How did you import the PST file to your Outlook? Tell me the version of your Outlook email client? Have you checked the Read-only attribute of the PST file you imported to your Outlook? Check it for sure before you can import the file to Outlook. I'm little bit sure that it is causing the problem. If it is enabled, you need to disable it first.

Please reply in a timely manner, so that I can assist you in a much better way.

Thanks.

If your Outlook PST file is corrupted, follow these steps to repair it:

1. Use the Inbox Repair Tool (SCANPST.EXE)

  1. Close Outlook.
  2. Navigate to:
    • Outlook 2007: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANPST.EXE
    • Outlook 2010: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\SCANPST.EXE
    • Outlook 2013/2016/2019: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\OfficeXX\SCANPST.EXE
  3. Run SCANPST.EXE and select your PST file (C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Outlook Files\).
  4. Click Start to scan and Repair if errors are found.

2. Create a New PST and Move Data (If Repair Fails)

  1. Open Outlook > File > New > Outlook Data File (creates a new PST).
  2. Open the corrupted PST in File > Open & Export > Open Outlook Data File.
  3. Drag and drop emails from the old PST to the new one.

3. Use a Third-Party PST Repair Tool

If SCANPST fails, try Stellar Repair for Outlook, Kernel for Outlook PST Repair, or similar tools.
