Outlook Public folders Dist. List

I currently have one user with outlook 2002 on an XP Profession on a Dell
Optiplex. When
using outlook XP does not recognize a distribution list in the public
folder. This user has
editor permission. also this user can not select list in outlook.
Can any one help me?
