Outlook Purple Reply Icon Intermittently Does not Appear

We are running OL 2003 with SP 2 and Exchange Server 2003, SP 4.0.6.7.

We are having an intermittent problem with the Outlook Reply icon for the
past month on a client pc. Smetimes, if the user replies to the email, the
purple reply icon next to it doesn't appear. Sometimes, the reply icon does
appear.

I have reset the current view, uninstalled and reinstalled, recreated the
Outlook mail profile, and ran a Detect and Repair, and validated the icon
field is selected to appear, all to no avail.

Any thoughts on how to fix?
