Outlook 2007 quits querying known working free/busy server with known
working free/busy account.
After a Windows Live update, Outlook 2007 has quit querying the known
working free/busy server. Before the update, Outlook 2007 would use the
globle search address located at Tools, options, Calendar Options, Free/busy
Options, search Location (known working address)
The free/busy server is functioning and the account is active. On client
systems without the latest Windows Live update, Outlook 2007 can query and
get a response from the known working free/busy server.
If the known working client is upgraded to the latest Windows Live update,
Outlook quits making outgoing queries to the global free/busy search
location.
I have tried to uninstall the Windows Live update components except for the
MSN component, but haven't had any success getting outlook to make a query
back to the global free/busy search location.
I can make a query to the known working free/busy server via a web command
and get a response from the broken system. For example, in IE, in the
location bar type in "http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8109/billyjoe" and I will
receive a response from the server.
I also know that Outlook isn't making a call to the free/busy server as I
can also see the free/busy server traffic.
I can duplicate the issue by installing the Windows Live update on a known
working system.
Do you all have any ideas on what I can try next?
Please post any suggestions here or you can contact me at simuser at the
