I cannot open a new or existing email, contact or
calendar item. I can access email by using
the "View>Preview Pane" or by utilizing the reply of
forward options and then completely editing the existing
message and address. This then allows me to do any of the
mail functions. If I try to open a new email, contact or
to edit an event ort appointment Outlook simply stops
running and I eventually get a tag on the top menu
bar "Microsoft Outlook - Not responding
I have upgrqded to Office and Windows XP
from Office 2000 and Windoiws Me after this started.
My assumption is a corrupted file but thought that the
upgrades "should" have replaced it. We do not have an
exchange server and everyone else's systenm in the
office is fine.
We are a 501(c)(3) charity and don't have the budget to
pay to fix this. I would prefer not to reformat the
drive but an export, uninstall and reinstall and import
would be possible. I tried this after the upgrade failed
but obviously the corrupted file (or other problem) still
remains.
