Outlook 2002, SP3
I used spell check on an email successfully while composing it. When I
finished I ran spell check again and I got a error message saying that the
required files weren't installed. I looked at the to line menu under tools
and saw that the entry for Spell Check no longer appeared.
I ran "detect and repair", inserted the installation disk, and the spell
check reappeared in the menu. The next day I went to run spell check upon
completion of an e-mail by pressing F7 and Outlook disappeared from the
screen. I restarted Outlook, used the top line menu to run spell check and
the same thing happened.
Each time I restarted Outlook, a message came up saying that the data file
'Archive Folders' hadn't closed properly then it ran a check looking for
errors. Apparently none were found - it didn't report back.
I checked task manager to see if Outlook.exe was still running after the
shutdowns and it was not running. This is the first time this has EVER
happened and I don't know what to do (I know, don't use spell check would be
the real solution).
I'd appreciate any information, help, or advice you can send my way. Thanks.
