Outlook randomly changes font sizes and adds boxes

I have Outlook 2007 on two computers and it works great, but my newest
computer (with Vista) changes font sizes in the middle of typing a sentence
or when I hit reply or forward. The Find and Replace box appears out of
nowhere along with other boxes during typing. I reinstalled Outlook to
"repair" the file, but it did not help. It still does all the above
sporadically. If I uninstall and reinstall it, I will lose hundreds of
emails and contact addresses. Any ideas?

It sounds like you are hitting certain key combinations that bring up dialog
boxes and other options. Also, uninstalling any Office program never
touches your data.
