Outlook reading pane not current

Since using Outlook 2007 I have not been able to keep the reading pane
current, it always stays on the email that's at the top of the list.
Closing/reopening doesn't work, booting doesn't work. It's frustrating to
have to open each email to read.

I don't see any bugs listed regarding this, any one else have this problem
and any ideas? I have Vista Sp1 and it has been happening since before the
upgrade to sp1.

What do you expect to happen? Does it display the selected message?
