I use Outlook at home, connected to a POP3 account. In the past few weeks,
I've been getting a message popup every time an e-mail comes in, asking me
if I want to view it now. If I say no, then an envelope icon shows up in
the System Tray. If it happens again and I say "no", another envelope shows
up in the tray. Once the envelopes are there, I can't get rid of them
without rebooting the computer.
As more e-mail comes in, I get multiple copies of each. The number of
copies corresponds to how many envelopes are showing in the system tray. I
can't find out how to get rid of the messages or the envelopes or the
multiple copies of my e-mails. Virus scan comes up with nothing.
Any ideas?
