Outlook reducing font size when I copy and paste?

How do I stop Outlook from reducing the font size when I copy and paste?
All the Font settings I know of are set to 12 and the text I copy is 12, but
it pastes it in 11.

Is it formatted or unformatted text that you paste? Also, if it is
formatted, is it the same kind of formatting (HTML, RTF)?

If it is unformatted text, then pasting will format it to whatever
formatting the target point is set to.
