Outlook-Remember E-mail Password

In setting up for Outlook to remember my E-mail password
it will not remember my password. I go back into the set-
up and my password is missing.

I am running Windows XP Home Edition and Office for XP
Home Edition.

I have a second computer with the same software and it
works just fine (Widows XP was installed by the
manufacturers of the computers).
