Outlook reminder times BEFORE appt. vs. AFTER setting appt.?

I recall being able to set reminder times as say 4 hours BEFORE appointment
vs. setting it 4 hours AFTER setting up the appointment. If I have an appt.
5 days from now, I recall I could set a reminder for 4 hours BEORE the time.
Now, I have to set the reminder 4 days from now and then when that time
comes, I have to figure out how many hours from the time I get the reminder
till the time I want to be reminded on that day. Seems a little bit
cumbersome.

What version of Outlook are you running? I'm pretty sure, even in 2007, the
Reminder time is not 'From Now' but 'Before the Appointment.'

In fact, if I set up a meeting in an hour, and tell it '58 minutes' for the
reminder, I get reminded in 2 minutes.

what makes you think anything has changed from "before" to now? What
version?

what happens when you do it the same way you did before? What methd did you
use to set reminders?

f.h.

I checked and I'm using Outlook 2003 version 11. I recall at my old office,
it worked just like how it was working for you. Then it somehow changed to
how it is now working for me here on my laptop. Grrrr!

Help! I in the middle of tax season; so, this would be a great blessing to
fix!
