Outlook Reminders (It's a new one ... really!)

Greetings & Salutations,

Similar to some of the other reminder posts I've read lately, I am having
problems with one of my users Outlook 2003 reminders.

I've checked MS Help & Support, and read several posts (searching for
remind/reminders/etc) and none of the recommended solutions have worked.

I have done the following to try and resolve the issue:
. Outlook.exe /cleanreminders
. Creating a new data file, removing references to all old data files &
then importing
. Detect & Repair from help menu
. Uninstalling Outlook (from Office 2003 Professional package) & then
re-installing (with reboots between, call me old fashioned)

I have limited time to work on his computer (usually only 1hr every couple
of days) so I haven't been able to completely recreate his mail profile yet,
but I'll post my results when I do.

The problem began a couple of days ago, the user prefers to use appointments
with reminders to 'remind' him of what needs doing. At the most he would have
~30 reminders current at a time, at the time they stopped he had ~15-20. I
don't think this figure includes future reminders that have yet to be fired,
but I don't think any 'reminder limit' (if it exists) was reached.

Can someone, anyone please help me come up with new ways to solve this
problem? I've teared a bit more of my hair out, and this guy is starting to
get on my nerves (telling me it's my fault that his memory is shot, cause the
computer won't remind him. [my words there])

We are using roaming profiles, I've changed the archive path to the
Application Data directory (not Local Settings/App.. Data), and they are
standalone installations of Office (Professional in this guy's case). Noone
else in the organisation is reporting this problem.

Are the reminders in his default folders? Reminders only fire if there are
in the default folders in the default message store.

Did he disable the reminders?

Thanks for the reply Diane, but a) yes it's his default folders, and b) no he
did not disable them.

I forgot to mention in the original post that I am also getting Outlook
error ID #25 in the application event log. This only occurs when the little
tray icon reports "Cannot start the reminder service. Unable to show
reminders." (This is also the error text in the log).
