Outlook restarts opening or creating new Account, Opportunity, etc

Hi, I have a new installed laptop with Vista and Office Enterprise 2007. I
installed Outlook with Business Contact Manager. I imported Contacts and
Accounts from BCM 2003. I never tested BCM 2007 before importing the data.
When I try to edit or create a new Account, Opportunity or Business Projects
I get the following error:

Microsoft Office has stopped working.
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.

Then Outlook sometimes restarts and sometimes just shuts down. I can open it
again and work with it (outlook contacts, emails, tasks, calenadar, etc), but
the problem stills when using BCM. It won't happen if I work with Business
Contacts, Project Tasks or Marketing Campaigns.

I did a clear cache already for the forms, and reinstall BCM2007 as a repair
option.

I went to the event viewer and I get the following:

Faulting application OUTLOOK.exe version 12.0.4518.1014, time stamp
0x45422840f, faulting module MSCOMCTL.OCX version 6.1.95.45, time stamp
0x3cc9a872, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00024233, process id
0x958, application start time 0x01c781207ca4856c.

Any ideas where could be the problem?

Thanks.

Hi Jose

Can you check if the issue happens with a new database without importing the
data?

Actually, I did that after I posted here and same error happened, so I don't
think it is because I imported the data. I believe it is something related to
the form it tries to load when opening those items but I am not sure since I
haven't used BCM that much.

Hi Jose,
This might be Outlook profile corruption. If this is the case, creating a
new Outlook profile can fix the problem.

Thanks, I wil try that, but as I mentioned the software was installed from
scratch, Vista & Office 2007, I joined the PC to the domain and configured
Outlook to connect to a Exchange 2003 server and then imported the data from
BCM 2003.

Thanks again.

Hi, I did new Outlook Profile with new BCM Database and the problem still the
same. ANy idea what else it could be? I just finish installing the
applications on a laptop with the same configuration and I don't have the
problem there.

Hi everyone, just wanted to share the solution with all of you. I decided to
run the Office Diagnostics tool and it solved the problem. The same tool has
saved me twice!
