I am running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Pro. Just recently, Outlook has
started to report an error anytime an address field (to, cc, bcc) is edited.
I can enter a space but as soon as I enter an alpha character, the cursor
disappears. A few seconds later, Outlook reports an error and offers to
restart.
I get the same problem if I try to add a new contact. Everything goes well
until I enter the first character of the e-mail address.
Outlook also reports an error Each time I send mail. When outlook is
restarted, the mail is in the Out folder and is dispatched shortly after.
The error signature looks like this:
AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 11.0.8169.0 AppStamp:465f28e3
ModName: outllib.dll ModVer: 11.0.8169.0 ModStamp:465f2870
fDebug: 0 Offset: 002d7851
I have sent the errors to Microsoft. The first time round, I was guided
through a service pack (3, I think) upgrade.
I have run a full Norton Antivirus scan (no viruses reported) and a full
Windows Defender scan (2 trojan downloaders removed). The rest of the system
seems to be running ok.
