I am trying to get outlook to connect to an exchange server over the
internet using rpc over https. This works fine when directly
connected to the internet, but when on another corporate network that
utilizes an http proxy server to connect to the internet. The proxy
server is configured in my Internet Explorer Local Area Network
connection settings. The proxy server also prompts you to authenticate
using basic authentication when browsing the internet.
I am trying to see if Outlook can utilize the IE proxy settings to
connect to the internet over https. Apparently right now it doesn't.
When I try to connect, it throws the error
Task Exchange Server reported error (0x8004011D) The server is not
available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.
