We have a strange issue with our Outlook rules. We recently performed
a migration from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. We have two seperate
networks. On one network, everything works fine. On the other network,
emails that originate from a Unix-based client will not be processed
by the Outlook rules. For example, I can create a rule that says "move
any email with the word 'validated' in the subject line to the folder
called 'test'. If an email is then sent with the word "validated" in
the subject from a Unix machine, the rule will not process
automatically. BUT, if I forward the same message back to myself, the
rule processes.
I have tried the following:
- recreating the Outlook profile
- moving the messages from being stored on the server to a local .pst
and to a .pst held on a file share
- recreating the rules
- adding and removing the "stop processing other rules" option
It is weird that it is ONLY occuring from emails directly from a Unix
client and ONLY on one of our networks.
Any ideas?
