I rebuilt my computer and reinstalled outlook. I recovered all of my
rules but they now all say "for other machine". I do not use an
exchange server and i just want my rules to be universal but I cannot
seem to change this. Also, I would like to know how to not have "on
this machine only" attached to any new rules. Why does microsoft seem
to deliberately make it difficult to migrate simple settings from one
machine or installation to another? Even inimporting and exporting
rules, you usually have to select folders again even if you use the
same pst and folder structure. I cannot wait until standardized
formats allow us all to abandon this horribly designed software.
