BLANK JUNK MAIL RECEIVED - CREATE RULE

WHEN A RULE IS BEING CREATED, THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION TO HANDLE E-MAIL
RECEIVED BY A PARTICULAR USER CREATED FOLDER; TO THAT FOLDER, THEN ASSIGN A
RULE. EXAMPLE: TO MAIL RECEIVED IN MY CREATED "DAILY RCVD" (PERTAINS TO A
FOLDER THAT I USE TO FILE, BUT ONLY REVIEW EVERY TWO WEEKS, FROM A PARTICULAR
BUT LARGE GROUP OF SENDERS), I WOULD LIKE TO ASSIGN RULE "MARK AS READ. THE
REASON IS THAT I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE IT CALL TO MY ATTENTION AS UNREAD,
BECAUSE I WANT TO FILE THE EMAILS, BUT ONLY REVIEW THEM EVERY ONE OR TWO
WEEKS.

If you create a rule to move the items to a folder you can have that rule
mark the items as read. Rules only execute on sending & receiving so they
wouldn't fire upon the manual moving of a mail item

Thank you,,, you are absolutelly right,,,
I had not tried this, because I was looking for an option to act on the
folder itself and did not realize I had the mark as read option when I was
moving to the folder..
Thank you,,,,, great

Indeed, your suggestion works fine,,, but...
EVEN THOUGH the folder is now marked as read,,,, the folder UNREAD still
remains showing the mail as unread.
Any suggestions ??? I am back to needing a solution
